Nokia 5800  Xpress Music marked Nokia's entry into the arena of touchscreen mobile phones. As the name suggests this cellphone emphasizes on music and entertainment features. The popularity of this phone can be estimated by the fact that Nokia one million units of 5800 XpressMusic from October 2008 till late January 2009.

The phone runs on Symbian OS 9.4 with S60 5th edition platform and has 3.2 inch 16:9 widescreen with a resolution of 640 x 360 pixels and can display 16 million colors. 5800 XpressMusic sports a powerful 3.2 Megapixels camera with Carl Zeiss AG optics with autofocus and dual-LED flash. The phone has one more camera on the front side to support video calls.

This 109 gram mobile phone supports GSM, EGPRS, WCDMA, HSDPA, A-GPS networks. For connectivity there is Bluetooth 2.0 and WLAN 802.11 b/g. Moreover, this device has ARM 11 369 MHz CPU and 128 MB of SDRAM memory. The phone comes with 8 GB memory card in the box which can be upgraded to 32 GB. The phone offers 400 hours of standby and almost 9 hours of talk time.

The phone offers VGA recording at 30 fps. The touchscreen is of very high quality. Although the Carl Zeizz lens is there, there remains to be a scope for improvement on image quality front. Overall, a terrific mobile phone with lots of features.
